A story of transmission

Since 1972, the Cousinié Method has been built in the field and passed down from one generation to the next.

Jean-Pierre Cousinié

Founder of the Méthode Cousinié®

As the son of a winegrower, I have worked among the vines since early childhood. Since the 1970s, I have advised winegrowing professionals, guided by a conviction that has never left me: before making a recommendation, you must observe and understand.

Over the years, my observations in the vineyard have led me to study vine nutrition in greater depth and develop solutions suited to the way vines function. This work has taken me to vineyards across France and abroad.

What brings me the greatest joy today is seeing my son Brice carry this work forward, bringing his own experience and perspective while remaining true to the spirit that has always guided me.

The method is passed on.
It evolves.
Its principles endure.

Brice Cousinié

At the end of my agronomy studies, joining my father was a natural choice.

He passed on his know-how to me, but above all a way of looking at the vine: observing before intervening, never isolating a result from its context, and seeking to understand what the plant is truly expressing.

The study of plant physiology, years of fieldwork in France and abroad, analyses, and work carried out alongside winegrowers have allowed me to enrich this approach and refine our understanding of the nutritional balances of each grape variety, according to the context and the physiological stage.

Today, I continue this work with the same rigor, bringing my own experience and perspective.
